When a door shuts, a window opens

We make our soaps entirely by hand in our little garage that we’ve turned into our soap making shop. A few weeks ago, we not only shut a door, we closed it permanently. But before you start wondering if that means that we’ve stopped making soap, remember we just said that when a door shuts, a window opens.

On a cold, dreary, rainy October afternoon, our family worked together to take out a garage door, replace it with a window, and give us more than double the space to create a bit of Maine magic. Inside our renovated digs, freshly made bars settled into the warmth of their new surroundings, while we let our imaginations run wild with visions of what the future might be. We have room to not just dream up innovative scents, but to make them while keeping a good supply of the scents you already know and love.

You have made all this possible with your loyalty and support of MAINE ISLAND SOAP. We thank you, today and every day, for being a part of this wonderful journey.

Be well.

I can’t say I have a favorite they are all wonderful. I like the soap because it washes off clean without a lingering film on your skin. I also like how smooth and clean my skin feels. Most important I love the fact that it’s make with all natural ingredients and I know it’s made and packaged beautifully with love.

I haven’t tried all the scents yet, but the pumpkin spice is definitely putting me in the mood for Halloween and Thanksgiving! I love jack o’lanterns, but pumpkin pie — well, that’s in a class by itself. Anyone got a great pumpkin pie recipe without using dairy products?
