The Way We Were Is the Way We Are

A pair of old, fuzzy slippers. Mom’s apple pie. Hanging out at the beach. There’s comfort in the familiar. It’s one of the reasons we look at old photographs and smile at fond memories. Maybe that’s why our pink stove means so much to us – it reminds us of days gone by.

But the future is coming. Heck, the future is here –in electronics, in music, in on-line stores. The future has brought convenience, but in its wake, the personal touch has taken a back seat. When you call customer service, how often do you get “Press 1 if you know your party’s extension. Press 2 for dial by name directory. Press 3 if this is for a new sale,” and so forth.

At Maine Island Soap, if we don’t answer the phone during normal business hours, it means that we are helping someone else, but you won’t get “robo mumbo jumbo” in response. Our voice mail greeting will ask you to leave a message, so we can return your call. We strive to give you the best service possible, not just the quickest. If you want to process ideas about gifts – for yourself or others – you can count on us to listen to your questions and to always give you an honest answer.

Thinking of you and wishing you all the best.  ♥

Be well.
