Our goal is to get your Maine Island Soap order to you quickly and safely. We carefully pack every order and typically ship orders within 24 hours of purchase, Monday through Friday. Orders placed on weekends will typically ship on the next business day.

Once your order has shipped, estimated transit time is generally 3–5 business days. Transit times are estimates and may vary depending on the destination, USPS service, and other factors outside our control.

We ship orders throughout the United States using USPS. Depending on the size, weight, and destination of your order, we may use USPS Priority Mail® or USPS Ground Advantage®. We select the shipping method and packaging that best suits your order. Shipping rates start at $7.50 and are calculated based on the size and weight of your order at checkout.

We currently ship within the United States only. At this time, we do not offer international shipping.

All shipments include tracking and insurance.

Domestic Shipping Rates

Our current retail shipping rates are:

  • Shipping Tier 1 — $7.50
  • Shipping Tier 2 — $11.00
  • Shipping Tier 3 — $14.00
  • Shipping Tier 4 — $17.00
  • Shipping Tier 5 — $22.00
  • Shipping Tier 6 — $29.95
  • Shipping Tier 7 — $34.95

The applicable shipping tier is determined by the size and weight of your order and will be displayed during checkout.

Free Shipping: Orders of $75 or more qualify for free domestic shipping. Free shipping does not apply to wholesale orders.

Please note that only one discount or offer may be applied per order. Discount codes cannot be combined with the free shipping offer.

Sales Tax

Sales tax must be charged on orders shipped within Maine.

Out-of-Stock Items

If an item you have selected is out of stock, we will contact you by email to discuss an appropriate substitution or other available option.

Large & Bulk Orders

If you would like to order more than 100 bars of soap, please contact us for special pricing and shipping arrangements.

At this time, we do not ship internationally.

Gift Giving Available All Year!

Make your gift giving easy! We can ship your order directly to your gift recipient at no additional charge.

Simply enter the recipient's name and address in the "Ship To" section and include your gift message in the Special Instructions section.

We'll include a Maine Island Soap card with your handwritten gift message and ship your gift directly to your recipient.

Please use only one shipping address per order. 

Returns & Exchanges

We take great care to ensure that your products arrive safely and in the same beautiful condition in which they left our workshop.

If your order arrives damaged or in unsatisfactory condition, please contact us within 3 days of receipt. We'll gladly work with you to replace the item or issue a full refund.

Returns are accepted within 10 days of the purchase date. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer.

Returned products must be:

  • Unused
  • In their original packaging
  • In the same condition in which they were received

For safety and hygiene reasons, we cannot accept returns on opened or used soap products.

Please include your name, order number, and reason for the return. Please also indicate whether you prefer a substitution or refund.

Refunds are processed to the original payment method within 5–7 business days after we receive the returned item.

Returns on wholesale or bulk orders may be subject to a 10% restocking fee.
